Font - I was fired the same day my job gave me a 50 dollar gift card for being the top performer in the department. Additional context: I was working at an insurance company in Scottsdale, AZ and was a 1 year employee. Because like most normal humans I cannot do insurance for 8 hours straight I would spend a little time on Reddit between working accounts. Font - fortifier22 23 hr. ago If I knew this full story and was in charge, I'd say to that 25 year old guy; "Listen, whether that guy is on Reddit and using the bathroom for 'long periods' according to you, they're still human like the rest of us and need regular breaks. That, and regardless of these breaks, they are still the top earner in this department. You are not."

Font - "If anything, you've shown me evidence that instead of looking to your successful co- worker and learning about how you could do better at your job by seeing what they do to be better, you instead became so toxic and jealous of them that you wasted your time at work spying on them. Your pictures and reports prove this."

Font - "I cannot allow my best employees, or any of my employees, to be dragged down by coworkers who create a toxic environment for everyone else just because they're not the ones on top and cannot improve themselves. You are fired." But in all seriousness, when looking for your next job, if it's in the same field, definitely do bring up that you were the top earner in the department. 181 Reply Share

Font - TheEclipse0 21 hr. ago If it's any consolation, they just fired their top performer, whose only been there for 1 year, and kept an under performer, who is most likely paid more than you but does less.
